We all have a story about how and why we went vegan and our newest Started From the Bottom Now I’m Vegan tee is a celebration of this! It's a nod to how far we've come in our own personal journey and our journey as a collective vegan community.

To celebrate the new tee, we've launched the #NowImVegan contest on Instagram! By sharing your vegan story, you have a chance to win our new tee + a $50 gift card to our shop! Here's how to enter:

Now, we'd like to introduce you to Ashley Warren of Planting Seeds Mamma

Started From the Bottom Now I'm Vegan

Ashley, currently in Vegas, is a vegan mom who also focuses on vegan, non-toxic living on her blog, Planting Seeds Mamma. In addition to sharing tips on living a minimalist natural lifestyle, Ashley also shares lots of yummy vegan recipes. We recently spoke with her about her vegan lifestyle and vegan business.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!
My name is Ashley Warren and I'm currently living in Vegas. I'm a new mom to Grant Maverick Warren and wife. I am a work-from-home mom and run my own health and wellness business. I spend my time with my baby teaching him via Gentle Parenting and the Montessori way, cooking, and cloth diapering laundry, as well as creating content and informational videos about health for my followers, and growing my business.
What led up to your decision to go vegan?
I stumbled upon the raw vegan movement in an attempt to feel more alive and increase my longevity and happiness. I was a meat eater to the max and if you were to tell me 4 years ago that I would be vegan, I would have laughed. I became engrossed after just a month of being vegan because my whole world changed. My sleep, mood, energy, body, skin, hair... everything was just better.
How long have you been vegan for?
Just over 3 years.
Did you have any struggles with adapting to a vegan lifestyle?
Nope, once I was shown the evidence and my eyes were open, there was no turning back.
How has veganism impacted your life?
In absolutely every aspect. Not just my body but my mind. I am clear and more grounded than before. My relationships mean more to me and therefore I can sort through the ones that don't serve me. I am a patient mother and wife. When things come up, I can handle them with more ease and I am certain it is because I am filled with plants only. I am #plantstrong.
What is your absolute favorite part about being vegan?
The spirituality of tapping into something much greater than us.

What does your typical day look like on a vegan diet?
  • Wake up.
  • Hang with baby by the pool and sip coffee.
  • Go in and make a nice-cream bowl with dates, berries, bananas, protein powder, green powder, and superfoods.
  • The rest of the day is interspersed with making vegan meals for myself and family while working when the baby is sleeping.
  • Around 4, I begin to make dinner which is usually a vegan tofu stir-fry, protein noodles, vegan pizza, or vegan mac.
Quickfire round!
Favorite food: A juicy ripe papaya
Favorite vegan restaurant: Seasons in Salt Lake City
Favorite vegan IG account: Probably Ellen Fisher but that's really hard because I follow probably 20 that I am obsessed with.
Go-to snack: Seaweed and hummus
Favorite vegan YouTuber: Dr. Michael Greger

Any projects or businesses you'd like to share with us? What are they about?
My blog is where my passion is. I share what I have learned and how to live in the healthiest body possible. I love repping brands I vibe with and sharing them with my audience.
